AMF PANEL WIRING DIAGRAM PDF

The AMF panel wiring diagram for  CONTACTOR or MOTORIZED SWITCH changeover features a 2025 advanced technology AMF controller.

CONTACTORS-BASED AMF PANEL WIRING DIAGRAM

The AMF PANEL transfers the load to the GENERATOR or MAINS smoothly and with short downtime. The AMF panel wiring diagram illustrates the panel's internal connections. The controller monitors the parameters of the MAINS and automatically starts the engine via relays. Once the GENERATOR provides the correct frequency and voltage, the AMF PANEL connects the LOAD to the GENERATOR. The above diagram illustrates a CONTACTOR-BASED solution.

THE AMF CONTROLLER IS THE CORE OF AN AMF PANEL

The AMF panel features fuses or circuit breakers to protect the wires from direct short circuits. Normal ratings for these devices are in between 6A to 10A. They must be capable of interrupting voltages as much as 600Vac.

connections of the coils

In the above picture, A! and A" are the coil's connection points. Terminals 4 and 8 are the electrical interlock connection points.

The CONTACTORS feature a mechanical and electrical interlock. In other words. only one CONTACTOR can be activated. The AMF panel inhibits the simultaneous activation of the KM and KG. To protect the systems from all kinds of overloading, you have to connect 4 current transformers. The AMF PANEL interfaces an 'ELECTRONIC" engine utilizing CANBUS. It interfaces with a standard (or Non-Electronic) engine through normal DC relays. Flywell diodes are not required. The controller has internal suppression devices.  When making the engine interface hardware, install the pilot relays KSS and KFS on the engine's structure.

A MOTORIZED SWITCH AMF panel is similar to the CONTACOR-BASED on the engine interface point of view.

It is different when it comes to LOAD's switching. The motor driver interface controls all sequences.

AMF PANEL DETAILED CONNECTIONS

The AMF panel features short-circuit-proof relay outputs for fuel solenoid, start solenoid and stop solenoid.

Two additional relays can be used for user-defined particular functions. The first step is to connect the input-output terminals to the engine. Each output is rated at 4 amps. Use a pilot relays to drive the starter motor and fuel solenoid. The input-output lines are configured by default. But you can change the configuration to suit your needs.

You can now connect the CANBUS to the ECU and MODBUS if a monitoring system works on an RS485 serial interface. We offer software for control and monitoring free of charge.

AMF PANEL MODBUS CONNECTIOIN

If your engine features analogue sensors, you must connect the terminals 30, 31 and 32. Terminal 33 is required to improve the precision of the measurements. It must be connected to the body of the engine.

After you have carried out a complete test of the engine, you can connect the alternator. Follow the international standard for safety. Use cables of suitable size. The AMF panel can monitor fault currents to Earth. You must connect a current transformer to terminals 34 and 35.

AMF PANEL GENERATOR CONNECTION

After a complete test of the generator, you can connect your load. You will test the generator on load conditions. You are required to set all protections about voltage, frequency, and overcurrent.

The final job consists of connecting the Mains. After that, you can complete a test of your standby generator. You must set up all settings for mains failure that match the requirement of your load. Install a circuit breaker, on the transformer output, capable of opening the circuit in case of a direct short circuit.
